To address proactively and positively the abuses of academic integrity, the college has adopted and will implement the following policy
-
Upon enrolment all students will be issued with a Statement on Academic Integrity.
-
This statement should help students familiarise themselves with their responsibilities when submitting work for assessment and understand the implications in the event of LCPS's assessment rules and regulations being disobeyed.
-
The best interests of each student will be served in reading the Statement on Academic Integrity and subsequently following LCPS assessment rules and regulations.
-
The policy will be distributed through:
|
|
| |
- Staff Guidelines.
-
Incorporating staff development and training to promote more fully a continuum of learning and teaching.
-
Identifying models of "good practice" to enable staff to minimise the opportunities for students to develop poor academic practice.
-
Creating an environment that discourages and disapproves of plagiarism by providing students with continuous support and guidance throughout their time at the College.
-
Demonstrating good academic practice and values to students by tutors through professional good practice to reinforce the policy.
-
Detecting cases of bad academic practice or plagiarism so as to safeguard the reputation of the College and the academic progress of the student.
