Leicester College of Professional Studies will continue to strengthen its position as a high quality and innovative education provider.

The Quality Assurance Procedures (QAP)

The Quality Assurance Procedures are intended to build upon existing good practice within the College and to secure the best quality of its educational provision. Its key components cover procedures in respect of

  • Proper and efficient student registration
  • Validating new study schemes
  • Modifying existing study schemes
  • Identifying and recommending learning resources
  • Monitoring student feedback and support
  • Recording student progression
  • Assessing and monitoring teaching
  • Monitoring and ensuring best staff development opportunities
  • Oversight of student welfare 

The Quality Policy

  1. All academic and support staff have a responsibility for quality assurance in order to enhance and guard the academic support given to students.
  2. The College will continue to recruit accredited tutorial staff to educate and train students, develop programmes and plan courses that are responsive to the changing needs of the market.
  3. The College will continue to develop its resources - human, academic and financial - to continually engender an environment that remains effective, efficient and professional in all its activities.
  4. The College will continue to comply with standards approved by recognised Examining Boards.
  5. The College aims to continually improve teaching standards and the level of college provision to the learner. This is achieved also through student feedback forms,
    self-assessment and the student complaints procedure.
  6. LCPS's investment in high quality educational facilities helps ensure the possibility of peak performance levels by both students and staff. Levels of performance and standards achieved are monitored on an annual basis.
  7. Students shall keep LCPS fully informed of their views and opinions through the QAP procedures
